새우깡이 먹고싶었다. 그래서 냉장고에 들어있는 마른새우볶음을 몇 개 먹었는데 새우깡맛과 영 다르다. 엄마가 새우를 볶으니 맛있는 냄새가 나서 부엌에 갔다. 새우를 몇 개 먹고있으니 엄마가 '새우가 매미같지 않니? 귀뚜라미같지 않니? 바퀴벌레같지' 막 그랬다. 그러면서 중국 할아버지들이 귀뚜라미 싸움붙이는 이야기를 해주셨다. 어릴때 읽었던 중국 동화책에 나왔던 싸움용 귀뚜라미로 변신한 남자가 얼핏 생각났다. 먹는데 이상한 말 한다고 화내면서도 새우를 잘만 먹었는데 새우가 정말 이상하게 생기긴 했다. 내 동생은 새우가 곤충처럼 보인다고 못먹는다. 입에서 새우맛이 나니 새우가 또 먹고싶다. 아니 막 입안이 바다가 되서 작은 새우들이 왔다갔다 거리면서 계속 새우맛을 냈으면 좋겠다. 바다에도 냄비에도 입안에도 물이 있는데.
